NamWater is actively involved in assisting its employees to continuously upgrade their skills and knowledge base. The company recognises the momentous changes taking place in all spheres of life and assists its human resources to cope in this competitive environment.
The company, in line with its social responsibility policy, also grants bursaries to external students.

- A total of 102 NamWater employees are undertaking literacy programmes to learn how to read and write.
- Many junior and senior managers are taking part in leadership training programmes with the University of Stellenbosch and University of Cape Town respectively.
- A total of 36 young people are currently studying under NamWater scholarship programmes in Namibia and other SADC institutions.
- A number of young people who have been studying under NamWater scholarship programmes have successfully completed their studies and have started working as young engineers, accountants, IT specialists, et cetera.
Any NamWater employee who wishes to invest in his or her education or career development can do so with NamWater assistance. NamWater easily awards interest free loans for members of staff who wish to further their education. This has resulted in a number of employees taking up degree programmes with the assistance of the company.
