Corporate Services Department

The Department is headed by a General Manager: Corporate Services, Mr. Welbert Ockhuizen, and consists of eight Divisions:

  • Employee Relations & HR Services division
  • Business Performance Management division
  • Industrial Relations division
  • HR Development division
  • Organisational Development division
  • Corporate Communications division
  • Risk & Safety division
  • Support Services division

Employee Relations and HR Services Division develops and implements HR policies and a divisional strategy. The Division is also responsible for the management of the recruitment and selection functions, corporate induction program and staff care program. In addition, the Division manages personnel records and compensation. The Division is also responsible for affirmative action planning and reporting. The Division is headed by the Senior Manager: Employee Relations and HR Services, (Vacant)

Business Performance Management Division is responsible for business process re-engineering, facilitation of strategy development process, development of business performance tools, planning and managing of transformation projects and advice management to this effect, identification of leading & lagging measures for all strategic objectives and implement, monitor & communicate the corporate strategy through all levels of NamWater.

The division converts the business strategy into the Balanced Scorecard, administers the balanced Scorecard & all related statistics, reports on its progress and redesigns scorecards to the current performance management system. The division provides advice and recommendations on transformation work as well as to carry out research as required. The division is headed by the Senior Manager: Business Performance Management, Ms. Sera Rossouw.
