Engineering and Scientific Services Department
The Department Engineering and Scientific Services – headed by the General Manager Engineering & Scientific Services, Dr. Kuiri Tjipangandjara – is essentially responsible for the design and construction of bulk water supply infrastructure in Namibia.
This includes the mechanical, electrical, electronic and instrumentation maintenance and installations, in-house design and civil construction, compilations of terms of references (TOR) for the appointment and supervision of consultants; administration of contracts; compilation of tenders and bill of quantities; calling for tenders and tender evaluations; design and construction of bulk water supply infrastructure in Namibia.
It also provides specialised scientific and related technical support services within the Corporation and the water supply sector in general.
The Department comprises the following two Divisions which are further sub-divided into eight sub-divisions:
Registered Professional Engineers and Scientists head these divisions and their sub-divisions of well qualified staff, who provide our in-house capacity for the design and construction of water supply infrastructure.
