Division: Engineering Services
The Engineering Services Division – headed by the Senior Manager: Engineering Services , Mr. Pieter Conradie – is responsible for the design and establishment of water supply infrastructure.
Various in-house design and construction teams are involved in infrastructure projects throughout the country. It has well-developed contracts management capabilities to supervise all engineering contracts which are designed and/or executed by private consultants/contractors. This Division is also responsible for the overall setting of maintenance standards. It provides internal and external specialised technical services such as instrumentation and telemetry systems, mechanical and electrical installations.
This division is further sub-divided in four sub-sections:
- Civil Engineering Design
- Mechanical Engineering Services
- Electrical & Electronic Engineering Services
- Civil Construction
Civil Engineering Design is responsible for the design of water supply infrastructure and components. Various in-house design teams are involved in infrastructure projects throughout the country. It manages and supervises all engineering consultancy contracts. The Sub-division is headed by the Manager: Civil Engineering Design, Mr. Gert Cloete.
Electrical & Electronic Engineering Services is responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of electrical and electronic components of water supply infrastructure. Various in-house design and construction teams are involved in infrastructure projects throughout the country.
It is also responsible for the overall setting of maintenance standards. It also provides internal and external specialised technical services such as instrumentation and telemetry systems and electrical installations.
The sub-division is headed by the Manager: Electrical & Electronic Engineering Services, (Vacant).
