The national broadcaster made a plea to the public to assist Felesiana with funds to cover her medical expenses. NBC also revealed that the child and her caretaker have no food to eat, shelter or funds to cover her medical expenses.
Felesiana's condition is similar to Namutenya Amukoto's condition, who eventually got medical treatment in Europe in 2004 after corporate citizens and individual members of the public donated money to her course.
NamWater as a good corporate citizen stepped in and is assisting Felesiana with the following;
- Initial medication (Dr's consultation fee). This will cover consultation fees to establish how severe the child's condition is and how much will Felesiana's treatment cost.
- Food for the child and her caretaker
- Assisting with obtaining travel documents for Felesiana and her caretaker to SA where her treatment is likely to take place
- Arrange with Air Namibia to sponsor a return ticket to SA
- Liaise with the NBC to advertise Felesiana's bank account to the public
- Opening a bank account for Felesiana in which Samaritans may donate money to assist with the medical treatment of the child
- Flying Felesiana to Pretoria for her four stages of operation
