Finance and Asset Management Department
The Department Finance and Asset Management, headed by the acting General Manager: Finance & Asset Management, (Vacant), consist of five divisions and one section:
- Finance Division,
- Business Controls Division,
- Information Systems Division,
- Business Systems Division,
- Fixed Assets Management Division,
- Procurement Section.
Finance Division is responsible for the recording and checking of all monetary transactions, the sorting and classification thereof and the eventual presentation of the results on financial statements. To accomplish these objectives, the division is subdivided into five main sections, i.e. General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable (Creditors), Accounts Receivable (Debtors), and Payroll. The Division is headed by the Senior Manager: Finance,Ms. Elma van Rooyen.
Business Controls Division is concerned with the process of identification, measurement, accumulation, analysis, preparations, interpretation and communication of information to assist management in fulfilling the corporation’s organisational objectives. The primary focus areas are: Budgeting and Control; Costing and Management Reports; Tariffs; Procurement; Inventory controls.The Division is headed by the Senior Manager: Business Controls, Mr. Naftali Iindombo.
