Finance and Asset Management Department
Information Systems Division is responsible for the planning, implementation and utilisation of Information Technology (IT) within NamWater. The service it provides ensures that IT is an effective enabling tool for all NamWater components and users. This support is provided throughout all units for all standard hardware and software configurations and other non-standard configurations. To fulfil these objectives, the IS Division is subdivided into three functional areas namely:
- Systems Administration,
- Business Systems Support
- Helpdesk.
The Division is headed by the Manager: Information Systems, Mr. Andries van der Berg.
Business Systems Division is responsible for supporting all business and information applications installed and developed at NamWater. The enterprise resource planning system installed at NamWater is SAP 46B. The division also supports web based information systems as well as the intranet and the NamWater website. The Division is headed by the Manager: Business Systems, Ms Roselle le Hané.
Fixed Assets Management Division ensures that the program of upgrading and extending of water supply infrastructure is planned and executed in an effective, efficient and transparent manner. It entails mainly the compilation and maintenance of the capital development plan, the Capital Development Budget and the Infrastructure Works Program. Project managers ensure that projects are completed according to scope, budget, timeliness and to the satisfaction of the customer. The Division is headed by the Senior Manager: Fixed Assets Management, Mr. Olla Aldrich.
