NamWater at the Ongwediva Trade Fair

Since the establishment of the Ongwediva Trade Fair many years ago, NamWater has been part and parcel of this very important Ongwediva Council’s endeavour to attract investments to Ongwediva town and to the rest of the northern regions.

NamWater has been participating very strongly as an educator, informer and entertainer at these Trade Fairs and has won several awards.

During the 2006 Ongwediva Trade Fair, NamWater took the theme “NamWater Staff at Work” to expose its workforce to the public by exhibiting various pictures of NamWater staff members doing what they enjoy doing most: providing quality water and related services to the satisfaction of all stakeholders, taking cognisance of the environment, scarcity of and dependency of all on water.

The stand also entertained visitors by way of a DVD player showing what the company does while being briefed by the staff on duty on the processes of water purification. They were invited to enjoy a glass of ice-cold water from the water fountain at the NamWater stand.

For the hot weather of Ongwediva, measuring between 35-40 degrees celsius, this water fountain was a welcome relief to all. In addition, NamWater provided water bottles at a minimum cost. These water bottles were a favourite at the Trade Fair and people did not hesitate to pay the N$10.00 for each bottle and to fill it up at the water fountain.

Although NamWater did not win an award this year, obviously the NamWater stand was popular and attracted many people who came to get information on company's activities, drink water, watch movies or just chat to the very friendly staff on duty.
