Purpose of use

Supply of potable water to the Skorpion Mine and Rosh Pinah town.

   

Brief description of system

Raw water is pumped from the Orange River to the Dreigatsdrift Purification Plant. Potable water is then transferred from the purification plant with a 550 mm diameter , 42 km long DCI pipeline and three pump stations to  the 30 Mm3 concrete reservoir at Skorpion Mine.
