Potable water supply to Walvis Bay

Brief description of system

Water is abstracted from 57 boreholes in the Kuiseb well field over a distance of 30 km and is collected in several reservoirs from where it is transferred to the Mile7 reservoir. Except for the submersible pump sets installed in the boreholes, the rest of the system is operated by gravity.
