Purpose of use

Potable water supply to Keetmanshoop and irrigation water to Naute irrigation scheme down stream of Naute Dam

Brief description of system

Raw water is pumped from the Naute Dam to the Naute Purification Plant. Potable water is then transferred to the Keetmanshoop terminal reservoirs by means of a 380 mm diameter, 44 km long steel pipeline and two pump stations.
